Walking to the end

Last weeks, after realized me that my posts were so incocluded I had started stop write and same time introduce me in a so introspective process that even I don't know to explain why...anyway, the course was continuing and we were our moment to finalize some works and this week we had a so intensive and sensitive program regarding special needs.

Presentation E´LEARNIG PROJECT (26.05.2015)

This activity, cordinated by Päivi was to me, maybe, one of most importants because really promoted a self relection in the sense to organize some ideas and tools to share with my peers and studentwhen I'll come back.

Presentation TRANSDISCIPLINARY  PROJECT (27.05.2015)

We (Roberto, Rodrigo and me) decided plan a transdisciplinary class from the news of the day and achieving as much subjects as possible, although our focus was in our specifical areas. So the first one was about twister and we took this way to discuss natural disasters and their social and economics impacts, raising open-ended questions and promoting different debates regarding the theme. Challenged but constructive...

PCK, Authentic Learning, Transdicplinary, Inductive Teaching and Learning and another references.

Intensive Special Needs Course. (28.05 to 03.06.15)

Intensive week about special needs. At this time we could visit differen centres that develop good jobs.

Another E-learning class and Guidance meeting

It was very nice to finish the day with the Irma's group guidance....our meeting and changes of experiences and point of views were so constructive to me (sometimes it seemed a Therapy Session, ok, but was so relevant)...in the morning, Päivi gave us some instructions to our Project in E-Learning and I liked think about this but the afternoon, I really can't enjoy...

GEOMUSHROOM and GAMIFICATION

Two good activities moved the class today...

Deise (IF Sudeste MG), Giselda (IFPI) and Ivanildo (IFPE) have proposed one very interesting exercise with Mushrroms, QR Code and Google Maps integrated: the GEOMUSHROOM  (inspired in GEOCASH concept).

You can appreciate in the first link above how can the teachers use these ideas to incorporate some short good examples in their practices..

After that, we could explore some strategies to deal some class supported in GAMIFICATION'S MODEL...it's a new concept to me, but as I am a great boargame enthusiastic, this idea seems to me very nice...

More information about mushrooms? You can acess the Deise's BLOG and delight yourself...

Aulanko School

Another visit to school...Our meeting today was in the Ahvenison Koulu. I guess my colleague Luis (have described very well about some important aspects acording his impressinons, so I suggest one look at his blog  in order to get more information related to the operational working, included about the PISA)...

For me, maybe the highligth point was to see how they care the students who have special needs...there are two teachers who have an appropriate training in this sense and work with the studens at adittional classes (they have assistant as well)...when we have been there, they discussed the theme so open without tabu or overzealous...it was so different that normally this issue is conducted in Brazil...to reflect!

In math class, nothing so different from Brazil...at least was that seemed to me, the books are chose by the teachers, work many time like a guidance or support in class and the exams have seemed so similar as well (although the finnish language)...I asked about technologis tools in class for a teacher and she told me also didn't use...

Two curiosities...

After the lunch, I could observe a special activity...the studens was constructing some kaleidocicles, and I remembered that my students in Brazil did the same last year like a competition inspired by one video that I shared with them...here in Finland they were younger, ok, but I really think there isn't age to proppose do this at class because is a good exerceise to explore the creativity (maybe if you think in this sense as better as earlier).
More specifically, the algebraic development are always justified by the operation process (as indicated by the operation ||:2  pictured left).

2 days in 1

24.04  Quality Assurance III: Summary and Feedback & FUAS Innovation School

Actually I didn't enjoy anything from these classes...they have seemed to me a little bored, maybe because I was still processing the before day...maybe the dynamics chosen by the teachers wasn't the better...maybe the both, I don't know...but it was like my brain was being smoked...

The best part of this day was the meeting that we had with Irma to disscuss about our feelings concerned to the program...

23.04  Visit to Valkeakoski Campus

Ballet in Helsinki

Do you think math and ballet are related? The math teacher Sakari do and today we, Deise and me, follow him and his students to Helsinki to watch a ballet rehearsal. The function was "Kesäyön unelma" or, in english is better maybe, "A Midsummer Night's dream", by Shakespeare and I shared the advertisement bellow...Was so organized program and we have saw many schools there...it's a culture that start so early...

In fact my particular curiosity was how could them explore the math from that this presentation, but that will be explored after...However, like a free exercise I have drew some concerned elements that I suppose would be possible...Particularly I liked wen we came back, some students have shared their oppinions and impresions about the activity...obviously I couldn't understand because was in finnish, but is so interesting to see that the student are really heard.

Here you can read some impressions from my geometrical peer Deise Oliveira...

"Dreams of a summer night ....
In Brazil, we have a song that goes like this "dreaming costs nothing ..." So let's dream! On Wednesday 22 April / 2015, Professor Diego Lieban (IF Rio Grandense- Campus Bento Gonçalves) and I were invited to the final rehearsal Ballet National Opera House in Helsinki (capital of Finland). The invitation came from Kauriala Upper Secondary School. Prof. Sakari Salonen and other teachers in the school develop a project named "Classical Geometry and Physicas in Classical Ballet." Students build and develop their knowledge, basically content related to mathematics and physics, using the ballet elements. The movements of the dancers are studied physics point of view, using mathematical calculations. But also in biology, physical education, art and music these elements are analyzed. A beautiful interdisciplinary work! One of the stages of the process was to go to this presentation in Helsinki. We left the city of Hämeenlinna and went to Helsinki, a group of three teachers and employees of Kauriala Upper Secondary School and another 30 students. There what we could see in our group is that students could partcicipar a beautiful art event connected to your project. Other gupos of estudaoram invited to partcicipar. As for the dream? The dream is that we can each day more."

Visit to Lyseo and E-learning classes

I was so curious to visit a regular math class here and I have been at Hämeenlinna Lyseo

About the student`s configuration, it seems so close from brazilian's class, but maybe no so much the behavior. They were really watchful and Aki was so enthusiastic as well..

Respect the material, maybe the different device that are available to the teacher, can make the difference

The most highligthed to me, however, was in the process..

In the afternoon, we had contact with a new tool (screencast-o-matic) to record our screen with video or voice...I think is really so useful nowadays, mainly if we have good internet conditions...

Another two tools that we have worked were THINGLINK and ANIMOTO. The second one I didn't have much time to explore better, but the idea is to organize some photos or videos in a friendly performance to show it. The first one is like an ideas organizer from that a main picture, so you can link another pictures, videos or websites in very practical way. The link above shows a short example that I did to ilustrate and practice.

In the morning I missed these class but I have seen good examples developed by my friends Damione and Sheylla, using the movenote that could you see here...

Quality Assurance II

Where do you guess should be start the process?

Quality Assurance

In a first view, analyzing the Audit Manual for The Quality Systems of Higher Education Istitutions 2015-2018 from the FINEEC -  Finnish Education Evaluation Centre (the comparison with our INEP os so natural), it not seems so far, estructurally saying, from  the brazilian's model, but in a practical and operational sense we can note some significant differences.

For example,
